Cherokee Advocate, Oklahoma, 10 November 1886

Died on Saturday evening, November 6th at 6 o'clock p.m., Robert, son of R. M. and Mrs. Jane Annie French, aged one year, five months and eleven days.

Thus has another home circle been visited and darkened by the grim monster. Thus the members of an other household sit in sorrow because one little voice is hushed forever! Did I say forever? Oh no not that cruel word. The little voice is only attuned to a sweeter key. Mother you will hear it again when you cross the dark river as it mingles with the glad songs of welcome that will greet you at the beautiful gates. God only wanted to crown ye with the distinguished honor of being the parents of an angel in heaven. God only wanted to show you that you had reached the exalted position where He required an Ambassador from the little government of your home circle. Only think of it dear bereaved parents and be consoled. For little Robbie is your special minister and representative at the Court of Heaven.

May God help you to realize and appreciate the honor conferred upon you and to make your home indeed a part and parcel of the great Commonwealth of God.

"In the dawning of the morning
When the mists have cleared away
You will meet your bonnie Robbie
And understand the Saviors way."
